About PanGrab: we provide a multi-platform media downloader and a local video toolbox. Your privacy is paramount — downloaded files are saved directly to your own device, and we never upload your media or personal files to our servers.
This privacy policy applies to the PanGrab mobile application (the "Application"), provided by the PanGrab team (the "Service Provider") as a free service. By installing and using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this policy.
PanGrab is a local-first tool. Video and music downloads, video processing, and file conversions are performed on your device. Downloaded or edited media is saved to your own device storage and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
To keep the Application stable and improve it over time, we may collect the following limited, largely anonymized information:
What we do NOT collect: the content of videos, music, or files you download; your browsing history; or the contents of your photo gallery. Your media stays on your device.
To deliver its features, the Application requests the following permissions, each mapped to a specific purpose:
You may grant or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission only limits the related feature; core functionality remains available.
The Application integrates third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, and media processing. These services operate under their own privacy policies and do not access your downloaded files or gallery.
Important note about link parsing: when you paste a link, the Application sends that link to the corresponding media platform (for example YouTube or Bilibili) in order to resolve a downloadable media address. This request is made directly between your device and that platform, and is subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy. The Service Provider does not receive or store the resolved media content.
You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstall process of your device or app marketplace. To delete any locally generated files, use the Application's download manager or remove files directly through your device's file manager.
To request deletion of any backend data associated with your device (such as crash identifiers), contact us at [email protected], and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
User-provided data (such as an email address submitted via support) is retained for no longer than 12 months after the inquiry is resolved. Anonymized usage statistics and crash reports are kept for up to 24 months to help improve the Application. All downloaded files and temporary caches remain under your full control on your device.
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we process. Because processing happens locally, your media files are not exposed to our infrastructure. No security measure is perfect, but we strive to keep your data safe.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective" date at the top will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
